Thermal imaging??

Ive had several taken but didnt find them particularly enlightening, didnt really help with the diagnosis of my horse, the images didnt really change from start of treatment to finish.

I have asked my vet but he does not know....???!!!!!!!

Mickey66, what was your horses problem and are you saying he improved but the images remained the same??

Woolly thanks .. will have a look

If thermal imaging is what i think it is, then you can encounter problems with you insurance. As some companies will take all the hotspots as potential problems and not cover them.
I could be getting confused with something else though!

Our local vets have a thermal imaging machine. Very useful for diagnosis. Helped with identifying areas that were affected by changes in hocks - e.g hot spots around stifles and hocks.
Also very interesting!!
They charge £180 for scanning hindlimbs both sides.
Hope that helps!

We had one done a few years back .We had a horse that flipped when you mounted sometimes. He broke my daughter's leg and the vet suggested we had one.
We spent £1000 on treatment for his back.Including one treatment under general but the horse was not cured ,he went down hill very quickly a few months after treatment and had to be pts .It was found he had severe liver damage!!!!!!
