Thermal waterproof riding tights/jodhpurs

I was out yesterday and my legs were really cold, and I have been thinking of buying some thermal riding tights or jodhpurs. It would be a bonus if these were somewhat waterproof also. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've been looking at the Thermatex ones but I see they have a full silicone seat and I'm worried I will be stuck to the saddle - I had some jodhs once with a rubbery seat and I found it very difficult to rise to the trot as the jodhs just stuck to the saddle.
I had thought about a riding skirt but would that not flap about in the wind?
It's been a long time since I bought any new riding gear so I don't really know what's about apart from what comes up on google.

Horzehoods do some lovely winter weight tights. Countrydale also good.

Second this. In the real, bitter cold and wet winter, these are the only things I can face a 3 hour + hack whilst wearing on my legs.

They are totally waterproof too :)
 
The Decathlon Kipwarms are a great option if you don’t want a full silicone seat. Countrydale also do a thermal pair that are water resistant without a silicone seat. I’ve not tried those as I like a silicone seat, but I like their other ones. Lemieux Drytex are also great for being properly waterproof, but they do have a silicone seat.
I also have a riding skirt, which isn’t that flappy. Similarly, my Equidry coats aren’t too flappy, and are great at keeping my legs dry (even though I’m only 5’4”, I have the tall version to make sure it covers the tops of my boots).
 
I got a secondhand UHIP riding skirt to try out after people on this forum kept mentioning riding skirts.
I'm still getting used to how it looks, but my thighs were toasty warm. No flapping (it has a loop inside to make sure).

Definitely Kipwarm they keep me toasty warm and dry.

I even hiked in them last winter, unfortunately we took a wrong turn and ended up stranded on a very snowy mountain they still kept my legs toasty warm and dry! Even after multiple falls due to slippy/icy snow.
We all gif out fine in the end.
 
I can't get on the Decathlon website on this computer, it is a very old computer and I think the website doesn't like that. Most frustrating!
I've looked at all the other recommendations, many thanks for those, but I am not sure about any of them tbh. I am going to try out my thermal Primark leggings before I spend £40/50. They have no leg seams and might work just as well. They have no pockets but my jacket has plenty of those. If they are comfy when riding I will just get some extra ones of those, they are only £7 each. Maybe I will look out for a 2nd hand skirt for wet days.
 
The Decathlons are great but whatever you do don't buy them in black. You'll look like you've just nipped out of some kind of fetish party.

I more or less gave up on waterproofs jods when I bought my DoPo Coats riding skirt. That's super cosy, totally waterproof, straps to your legs over your regular riding tights etc so it doesn't flap, and I find it less restrictive than bulky trousers. I like it so much I wear it out walking in the winter! She makes them to order so you can choose the waist size, colour, length, lining, etc etc. I wasn't expecting to love it so much but I really do.
 
I have to keep my legs uncomfortably warm all winter due to knee arthritis and previous ops. Decathlon Kipwarms are very good, also echo riding skirts are fantastic, sadly Eqco who I got mine from don't seem to around anymore but am sure there are others out there. I've also caved and brought the Cuddlr over trousers that are advertised all over FB. I've not ridden in them yet and they aren't marketed as fully waterproof due to not having taped seems but I wore them to wash pony last week and legs remained dry despite me being a bit wild with the hose 🤣

I’ve just looked at the decathlon ones as also in need of warm breeches … not sure leather look breeches are a thing would hate to wear spurs and carry a whip with those on 🤣🤣

Yes I've caved and brought two pairs. Haven't ridden in them yet but have washed the pone wearing them and remained dry and v warm
 
Kipwarms for yard work, I don't tend to ride in them as I like some grip. Pikeur Lugana, old school soft shell breeches for riding (expensive but I have pairs that are 15 years old 🙈)
