Thermatex cheaper equivalents?

I want a thermatex for my lad ready for the winter, but am reluctant to spend out over £100 if there is a cheaper alternative that is just as good? Or are they that good and I should just stop being tight and buy him one :o Thanks!
 
I think that most people who go for the cheaper alternatives always regret they didn't fork out for the real thing. £100 seems a lot, but my one looks like new and is now 15 years old - so well worth the original outlay
 
Genius idea. I have no idea why I didn't think of that! Especially as most my stuff is second hand anyway. My only excuse is that its been a longgggg week ;)

I disagree, I don't like the fastenings on Thermatex. Prefer the fastenings on Thermalux, which is just as good as my Thermatex but am now a total convert to the Mark Todd Coolex range.
 
I've also been wondering this too though figure I'll probably end up trying to track down a 2nd hand one.

Am I right in thinking they come up quite big? My boy is usually in a 5'9" so am I best looking for a 5'6"?

This maybe slightly more than what you were wanting to pay but I've got a Premier Equine Premtex Cooler , cost me about £85 but PE often run discount days where the price slips to under £70, I love mine - PE stuff generally fits well and is well worth the money I paid out for mine!
 
I have a Premier Equine rug which is identical. Can't tell the difference really and I previously had a Thermatex (sold it because it was a bit too small).
