Our lab is a water baby, as I'm sure many of yours are lol. We go to the caravan a lot & she is In the sea constantly. When she comes out & I've hosed her off I then towel dry. Afterwards she starts to shiver, and wondering if a thermatex dog rug would help her warm up & dry off?

Have you any experience of them?

Does it make any difference if the rug is waterproof or not? She will only be wearing it inside but worried the non-waterproof one will make her bed wet

I don't have the waterproof ones. I wouldn't use the waterproof ones indoors? Not sure how breathable they are. I usually sling one of their dog pads on top of their beds, they don't mind getting on those even when they (dogs) are wet as they are wicking-whereas none of them like to get their normal dog beds wet. They have tuffies beds with different bedding on top (vet bed, thermatex etc) which I then dry/wash. my old dog didn't have any waterproofing in his coat and I found the coats kept him warm while he dried off.

I've used these and they are brilliant. As they are open they allow the sand/dirt to drop out and not stay close to the skin and rub. I have never used any of the bag / trouser type( can't think what these are called :o ) or the Thermatex so can't give user experience. I wouldn't from choice use either the bags or trouser thingy though.

Thermatex or Equafleece and towelling fitted sheet type bed covers to fully dry them off.
