Thermatex exercise rugs sizing

my horse takes a 6.9 rug and we got a 6'6 rug which i would say is slightly large for him. don't think the smaller one would fit but I would always go a size down.

ETA - this is a normal rug!

My horse is in 6'6 rugs and takes a 4'6 Thermatex exercise sheet. At a push he could get away with a 4'9 so would say a horse in 6'3 rugs would be fine in the 4'6 exercise sheet too.
 
My horse takes a 6'6'' rug and I got him the 4'6'' Thermatex. Wish I had gotten the 4'9'' now though as its just a tad small and a bit of his bum sticks out. His Newmarket exercise sheets cover all of his bum and I would have preferred the Thermatex to do the same to be honest, but it keeps the most 'important' bits warm so he'll live :D

Ditto this! My chap is a 6'6 rug, I've got a 4'6 and 4'9 thermatex exercise rug and the 4'6 is a tad too short ;)!
