I've been thinking about getting some for my new horse because he will be hunting all season and they are ideal for helping dry off the legs. I also want to use them because his stable is quite small and he likes a good roll and I'd rather his legs were protected than not.

Are the Cordura ones only better because they stop bedding sticking to them and is that the only reason you pay £10 more for them?!!

I have a set sitting in the garage which I got for my last horse, they are sadly under-utilised at the moment

However more seriously

I found them really good, and TBH I think that yes, the only reason you pay more for the Cordura ones is to stop the bedding sticking

I find the cordura ones better as like you said they don't get bits stuck all over teh, - have used them every winter for the last 8 or so years and only had to stitch on one piece of velcro - brilliant things and far quicker than bandaging

They are a great investment. I have the cheaper ones and it depends on what bedding you use as to whether it sticks or not. I use carboards squares which do not stick to rugs, boots, manes/tails etc.

We use the Cordura covered ones every night on our horses in winter. If they're really wet when they come in we put the non Cordura covered ones on first as they dry them off just a little bit quicker than whack the Cordura ones on just before we go home.

I've got the cordura covered ones as I bed on shavings, I love them! I don't actually leave them on all night though just until the legs are dry. (I do have the luxury of having my horses at home so I can pop out to them last thing.)

I have the Thermalux ones that Aerborn do - I think I'm on three sets now. FANTASTIC things. I have a grey which means lots of washing and they dry her legs brilliantly.

I have the aerborn ones and love them - I think they stop Domi stiffening up over night and I want to get some for Solitaire as well before winter.

i have the ones that aren't cordura covered, and things do stick to them quite a bit! the large size is also really big i found, only just small enough for 16'3 ISH who is heavy boned! also, you can get them cheaper if you buy direct from thermatex. i got both my sets at their stand at badminton and they were £20 as opposed to £40 that you pay from rideaway!
