Does anyone use one of these, the ones with straps to the girth straps, do they flap about much? I have their ride on one's and I've just seen they do dayglo quarter sheets im worried they might flap a bit in the wind!
I do, I attach the straps to my stirrup leather holders and it has a fillet string too. The wool types are pretty heavy so unlikely to blow around like a lightweight rain sheet type. I love mine, so much neater and easier than the full ride on or wrap around types!
Just got advice on a FB forum to sew dress weights in to weigh them down. I'm going to give it a try because my high Viz one turns into a balloon in wind
The wool ones certainly don't flap in the wind. I've used it in gale force winds and it hasn''t moved. They are lovely sheets and I wouldn't be without it in the winter.
Mine ties up higher, I attach it to the stirrup leather. It doesn’t flap and stays put as it’s got a bit of weight to it. I really like them. Well made, smart and a great colour range.
