Where do you do the straps up to?
I’d put them round the last girth strap but even here on a little 17” saddle they don’t really do up properly, or the sheet needs to sit slightly under the saddle.
I thought it was a size too small so got a bigger one but it’s actually the same.
Looks perfect and super smart if it’s slightly under the saddle.
If it’s sitting just behind (which it should) the Velcro straps are not long enough to do up.
I should have taken photos really but anyone know what I mean?!
 
They go on the last girth strap, well that’s where I put mine. I had the opposite and the straps were a bit long! So I had to shorten them as much as I could or I put them on the first strap. It did sit better just under the saddle from memory (I don’t have it now as I sold the horse it was for).

I’ll try the leather keeper! Didn’t actually think of that 🙄
I did try the loop under my flap to fix a back girth strap and it reaches there better but that hitches it slightly up so it won’t sit at flat.

I’m not sure this is causing any pressure really, certainly with a normal pad but I currently have a a sheepskin riser and it’s just all a bit much!

One of my saddlepads is sheepskin. Not sure exactly what I do but not aware of ani issue. If I remember I'll check tomorrow

I think it’s designed to attach to stirrup keeper.
 
I just worry about the slightly under the saddle thing as @sbloom always says to be really careful there are no seams or trim/ sheepskin roll etc under the back of the saddle. I’d assume a few cm of Thermatex is the same?
Aesthetically I prefer it tucked under a tiny bit and straight to the back girth strap.
 
Yes, only ever have uniform surfaces under the saddle, no edges/trims etc.

Webbing is really easy to extend if you need to, you can buy more on eBay etc and it can be stitched with rug type thread by hand or by machine. I had to extend a webbing strimmer harness for my tall OH, took 10 minutes.

Thank you! I’ll try the stirrup loops first but yea will get it altered otherwise.
Seems weird it doesn’t really fit round such a small saddle being 4’9 and 5’ sheets
