Pickles cooler isnt that great and I was thinking about buying him a new one, I have seen thermatex everywhere and many people reccommend it, what do you think? Also do you know anywhere that sell them cheaply (I have found £74 the cheapest so far)

I can't find anywhere that sells them cheaper than £83 inc posting and i've been looking for about 6 months. I check ebay every few days... the other thing is that you generally need to go a size down in thermatex as they are a bit generous.

Where have you found it for £74? I can't find one for less than £90!
I have two Weatherbeeta fleece coolers, they are fab! I haven't heard anything bad about Thermatex but haven't used one myself (buying one this weekend).

i managed to get on for £60 but can't remember where tho sorry. Thermatex's are brilliant well worth the money, but defiantly go down a size I think thats why I was lucky with the price mine normally take 5ft9 but went for a 5ft6 and it was cheaper!

Im not sure if im allowed to put this..... big sorry if im not..... but a girl at the yard is selling one. Its 6'3" and green (not sure what colour the binding is) she is asking £50 for it. I can give you her number if you like.

You won't regret getting one.
They really do dry a horse in record time; I bathed my boy a couple of days ago- got the rug on ASAP and by the time i had put conditioner on his tail and dressing on his feet, he was toasty warm and almost 100% dry.

Another vote for Thermatex - just don't leave them stabled on a woodchip bed with one on..........nothing dangerous but breaks your heart to see your lovely expensive rug stuck with a million woodchips to it......

Iv'e had mine for about 7 years now, not used much lately but pony was clipped today so will be soon! Luckily current pony is same size rugs as the previous horse the rug was bought for! Would never get rid of it. I have one with a kind of covering so the shavings etc don't stick, not seen may around but worth the extra! Has x surcingles rather than strap too....
ETS it's on the Thermatex website, it's the Stable rug, exactly the same underneath, but with a cordura cover

Has to be the best rug I have ever bought! Had mine 8yrs now and still looking new. ( have to say, only used when really nes' like cooling down, travelling and on the odd very very cold night as an under rug).
Size I bought was too generous, so the local tack repairer shortened the front (by folding over and re-placing the straps) and moved the belly strap back and now fits a treat. So I can always revert to its origional size if I ever bought a bigger horse.
I would never ever sell it.. It's tooo good to let go.

yet another vote for them from me!

Managed somehow, still don't know how to be honest pick up a 2nd hand 7ft one for only £15!! my mum was at a tack sale and thought I might want it I said yes before I even heard the size as at that price if it didn't fit someone else would soon nab it off me!!!

Well its slightly too long for Dan (he is 6ft9 normally) but not unsafe, have also used it on housemate's two including Fleur who is a 6ft3, although with her I will only have it on when i'm holding her as its a bit too long to leave on unsupervised but it still works amazingly on her.

can't believe i waited so long to get one but now i do i shall never sell it!!

i love mine. i have the normal one, the nordic wraparound exercise sheet and the leg wraps and they're all fab. the exercise sheet is fab at shows and really smart and the rug is great for travelling in winter and drying him off after a bath or when he's got sweaty. leg wraps fab at drying legs off after they get wet too, or just keeping old legs warm in winter.
