Thermatex

I never had one but will definitely get one if they do restart production
I've only had second hand ones but had decided to maybe treat myself as I *fingers x'd have a long term forever horse now just as they closed!

When I worked on a big yard we had only one real thermatex and a variety of knock off types- all of which were good but if i had 6 horses hot and sweaty to wash off, you could guarentee the one in the thermatex would be dried off fastest and be bone dry and warm underneath.

Yep I've had two horses that just found them horribly itchy, two different rugs so it wasn't an issue with a specific rug. Odd I know as everyone raves about them, which meant I could sell them on easily :)

Great news and although it's sad if the current factory doesn't continue manufacturing moving to another factory in England is probably the next best thing.

Thermatex used to be here in West Wales (about 13 miles from me in Cardigan), my wife worked there years ago (1992 onwards) as did a friend of mine . I went round the factory and had a look. Nicely run and it was a shame when it shut down last year and everybody was out of work. I get very few Thermatex rugs in to repair as they were very well made.
I hope the quality will be as good as it was and I wish them luck. SO nice to have something made in this country instead of abroad.

Yes I hope the quality and thickness remains and they don’t skimp on the fabric an end up with a lighter version to save money!
