Where is the best place (tack shop or net) to buy one?

And are the colour charts on line anything like the real colour

You can order them direct from thermatex. The colours are prety much correct althought that will obviously depend upon how you have set up your monitor.

You might also be interested in the Thermalux rugs or the Weatherbeeta versions which I feel are far better value for money... the Weatherbeeta ones are half the price of a Thermatex.

Don't buy a thermalux, they are nowhere near as good as a thermatex. There was another post about a lady who was pleased with hers from Frogpool, it was £95.

Thermatexes are great, I have had mine for years. Although remember to buy one a size smaller than your normal rug size - the sizes come up really big

I was lucky enough to buy my Thermatex at Your Horse Live. My boy usually takes a 5ft 9in, but a 5ft 6in fits him fine which is great because it is still classed as pony size so is cheaper than the bigger ones. Since buying it, it's hardly been off his back and is great.

Has anyone got the weatherbeeta one ? I have been looking at that one on e-bay as I have a number of items such as a body protector to buy. I would be very glad to hear fom anyone who has one.

Nothing compares to a Thermatex. You really get what you pay for with them. Frogpool manor online were doing the best price when I last bought one a couple of years ago.

WB ones are nice but are definately lighter weight than the Thermatex. I use my WB one in warmer weather but on chilly days I always use my Thermatex. I think the Thermatex is more effective too, if I could only have one it would be a Thermatex.
