They are cutting her open right now!

I have just spoken to a nurse and she has apparenty made a good start so that is something at least. i have requested the vet call me back to clarify everything; it's so difficult as they come out with all the none laymen terms and I'm lost.. long way to go but I wll take anything positive right now

Fingers crossed for your girl. Take care of yourself Silverbreeze, you sound like you're at the end of your tether x.

Getting very close!! Went to see her and she does seem pretty bright and I got to speak to a different vet who was really nice and he explained everything far more clearly. They have to attach the intestine to a different insertion point on the coecum than the original place which is why it is so risky. He said that if there was detrioration it would be 48 - 72 hours after the op as it is within this time it will become apparent if the intestines are functioning or not.
I am concerned though as it is such a huge operation and the prognosis isn't great for patients of this apparently in the short and long term. My poor girl has suffered so much in her short life and I had requested a call before operating if something drastic was found but that call never came. Guess we all have stories like that though.
Anyway, that aside they did operate on her and I am hoping and praying that she doesn't have any complications and suffer further as I am not sure I could stand to watch her go through so much suffering again.
Whilst she is happy and bright I am going to focus on that and hope she gets some luck for once and her healing goes against the norm in a positive way!
Thanks everyone for being concerned and passing on the vibes; very much appreciated. I think this forum is the only thing that has preserved my sanity over the last few months x x x
