I have bought a ramp for one of my labs. She is reluctant to jump up into the back of my Isuzu Trooper. I find it difficult to lift her and not comfy for her either. She did some damage to her back end as a pup, though that doesn't stop her helicoptering all over the place.
Anyway, laid said ramp on the floor in the house for her to get used to walking on it. Totally refused to go anywhere near it. Cue other dog and two cats striding up and down it like seasoned top models.
Decided to try it on the vehicle, thinking she might use it, not wanting to be left behind, she loves going out and about.
Fitted ramp, fetched dogs, first girl strode up and sat to watch proceedings, second girl, after several goes on the lead made it quite clear she was having none of it. Took lead off, up she jumped, ignoring ramp, doh! Cue cats striding up and down again with one very smug girl looking on. Emptied car of cats and off we went.
Lots more practise needed.
