I have heard rumours about a pony and rider that accompanied us to a show on 28.06.09 in Whitacre Heath and I am quite annoyed. The girl is too big for her pony leg wise but is very light, all the same if they were mine I wouldn't have let her ride. All the same she did hack there with us but here's the shocker:

SHE ISN'T MY DAUGHTER AND HER MOTHER WAS THERE SO FOR PEOPLE COMPLAINING SHE WAS NOT ATTACHED TO MY TEAM AND THEREFORE IF YOU HAD A PROBLEM TELL HER MUM OF THE GIRL, I HAVE MENTIONED IT IN THE PAST BUT MAYBE ITS BETTER IF OTHER PEOPLE SAY SOMETHING.

Sorry but it has really miffed me as it is ruining my name and as I say they are not mine and the Caddick yard wouldn't allow it.

Thanks for letting me vent and hopefully if anyone was there they will remember them for next time.

If it's any consolation I've not heard any rumours at all

A too-tall child on a pony doesn't seem like the sort of thing that ruins people's names though

Perhaps I have a poor understanding of what goes on at shows though.

What sort of complaint? That the child was too big for the pony??

Surely, that's up to the parent to sort out, and should have no reflection on you! There are plenty of people who are riding smaller horses/ponies, and are coping fine.

I don't understand how that would ruin your reputation

I forgot to say there are some people who go there, they aren't complaining but if they do hear anything they will know the pony and girl were nothing to do with me (the girl is 6ft tall on a 11.2hh pony, not cruel as she is so light but daft looking in my opinion)

I think you should ignore them. After all, it's not the size, it's the weight and competence of the rider that counts.

Don't let it get to you. It may look a bit odd, but people who complain about nothing, don't have much else in their lives!!

This woman really annoys me, I was an old friend until something really awful happened to one of her horses but she is making sure I look like the bad person (I was never involved with her horses and never saw them for over two years before I found what I found) at the moment and has even had the gall to say my ponies are suffering and neglected, which I am really hurt by but thatnkfully alot of people know me and my ponies and children are well known in our local area for quite the opposite.

I can't believe how angry she has made me again. You would think someone like that would keep their head down incase I decided to tell her back ground. Maybe I should....but its not in my nature to

Does said woman use the forum? If not, then your post is quite pointless. Don't allow yourself to get worked up over people who say spiteful things. As you say, anyone who knows you knows you look after your ponies and from your pics, they certainly don't look neglected!

Do you know, in my time I've met an awful lot of people like that!!!

The main thing is that usually, these type of people are covering up an awful lot of their own failings. The best thing is to rise above the tattle!!! The horse world is full of them, and they very rarely get their facts right!!!!

lol...hang on while I get off the floor...no it isn't that child is only 4' 9" and he hasn't been shown for a twelve months...

If you can be bothered to see my photos in the picture area one of them has her in the background and you will see that her feet are lower than her ponies knees.
