They found something on the autopsy

As you all know we lost penny our labxcollie nearly a month ago now.

We didn't know what was wrong only something was wrong and we did the only thing for her.

The last part of the autopsy came back and they found a brain tumor in the exact place that would account for all of her symptoms and behaviour.

We knew we did the right thing but knowing this helps that last little bit of wondering.

Personally, I would find that a real comfort. It would absolutely clarify, for me, that I had made the right call and put to bed any lasting niggles that I could have done anything more or differently. I hope that it offers you the same comfort x

As soon as the vet said they had found a tumor a weight just lifted off me.
We are all feeling the same, still absolutely devastated that she is gone but a relief knowing we did the right thing by her and kept her from becoming something she wasn't.

My brother said he can cope better now, she was his world and helped him through some dark times in his disease in the year and a half we had her and he wouldn't give that up for anything but knowing this has helped him be more than okay with saying good bye.
