I had a lovely lady come and view my mare to take her on full loan, she only lives about 30 mins away so it sounded perfect, she came to view her and said she adored her. We arranged a date for the following week for me to come and see her yard.

Two days later, she sent me an e-mail to say she had found a loan horse in her village so not interested in my mare anymore.

She has just left me a voicemail to say that it has all fallen through and can she loan my mare after all?!

What would you do? she was lovely but she has messed me around a bit

Well I guess she hasn't messed you around - always easier if you find a horse in the same area....I'd give her a call and just say you need her to commit and does she defo want her etc...

If she was ok in every other way, I would let her loan your horse. She would have been mad to turn down a nice one in the same village as her, but it doesnt mean she wont care about your mare.........

I would be cross about it and probably say I'd found found someone else, but it depends how much you need/want to loan out your mare, don't cut your nose off to spite your face, - even though i probably would

I would be a bit worried about her commitment. If she is moving the horse to her yard what difference does it make if it's in her village or 30 mins away if you know what i mean.

If you like the lady and think she is right for you horse i would tell her about your concerns.

I agree Sarah23. I wouldn't write her off, but let her know of your concerns and see what she says and then decide from her answer. Good luck!
