I think I had my heart in my mouth more pending the start over KJC than for the actual race. AP has been a very very deserving winner of the race. I remember watching the year Clan Royal was carried out of it - surely his best chance before this and i can remember how pissed off AP was afterwards. He seemed to have resigned himself to never winning it after that so all the more thrilled for him.

having said that, would have loved the spin on Black Apalachi today - maybe hed be up for team-chasing on retirement? :D
