Well, I was in tears over the stress yesterday and only had a small amount of stuff shifted, still had large stuff to go and my poor OH was keeping well out of my way.

I went up today and brought ponies in. Young one got sedalin to take the edge off, and I managed to resist taking it myself :p

Tilly was as good as ever and went straight into the trailer. Fidley hesitated and within minutes walked in. She didn't blink when the breach bar was attached and was a little jumpy with the rear ramp but stayed still. (I read on here regarding a horse PTS after going over breast bar). Hay-nets tied up and then we were moving.

When we got there, Fidley was a little sweaty but walked out nicely. She was flihty as she looked around her and saw plastic flapping, orange cones were going to eat her etc. They both walked nicely to their field, but once stopped they are started pulling and once the head-collars were off, their heads went down to graze. Typical Natives.

Everyone seems nice and ponies are chilled so I'm happy. What was the fuss about? :D I've had nightmares every night about getting her in the trailer, what if she goes over the bar, will she wait 'til I get the ramp down...? I'm my own worst enemy.

Who would like to join me? I have plenty vodka :)

Thanks all :)

I'm moving my two in a few weeks and dreading it! I'm normally quite chilled out and not bothered at all about us moving house! So worried about my tb getting worked up! He's not the best to load either!! Pleased yours went ok and if mine behave half as well as yours have I will be over the moon :)

aww, Bumblelion I'm sure it will be fine. (so easy to say those words though, eh?)

I spent days crying and getting worked up over it and to see how easy it was, was astounding. It was the first time my little one had loaded with the front ramp up and she was an angel.

All the best to you and your TB with your move x its so worth it once its done x

I bet they will be fine. Mine hadnt travelled much and then we moved from home counties to Aberdeenshire 550 miles - and they didnt turn a hair on the journey - I was amazed!
