Anyone come up with a solution to secure electric fence energisers and batteries in the field? I am surrounded by a housing estate and so far have had wheels stolen off my trailer, jockey door taken off and now they have pinched my electric fencing equipment.

I fitted my energiser into a steel ammunition box & then, with a couple of holes drilled in the bottom I screwed a couple of ground spikes (like these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOG-TIE-D...402?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2eb88a7962) into the ground through the holes. The box is really secure & can't be moved. This way unless they can actually get into the box they can't unscrew the fixings. Alternatively I use the same box & chain & padlock it to a tree/post or other immovable object. :)

I tried chaining mine, they came with boltcrops :( sick of them getting nicked. He just has the run of the field now cos he won't stay in if its not electrified :(

Luckly for me I have a shed near so I fix it into shed and threaded wires throw a hole I drilled , a attach to fence
