Somebody today commented on how thin pip was looking. Luckily I wasn't there because I was on the pitch. However she is not thin I think infact she is on the tubby side. Only slightly but wouldn't have her any bigger. Just made me mad that having a dog that is not round is so frowned upon. She even had the cheek to say to me on the way to the changing rooma make sure you look after that dog!
For those who are interested in this thin dog I have previously posted pictures of her opinions of weight greatly appreciated.
She is fed fractionally less than her two percent body weight as she was looking tubby. But is now keeping a constant weight.
Sorry just raging.

I am frequently told not to worry because my puppy will fill out / it must be hard to have such a picky eater / she is on the skinny side.

She is perfectly healthy and would eat all day if she was given the chance, OHs mum is the worst contender and was horrified when one day I let slip that I was keeping B hungry to hand feed her for our focus training. Apparently I am a cruel cruel individual and its a good thing I dont have any children.

We take B to pets at home whenever we go and we were offered some help to put weight on her when we were in the food isle! I was insulted by that and walked out of the shop when I heard his recommendation (Bakers!).

Chin up OP, alot of people have no idea what a healthy dog looks like anymore.

I get it all the time with Yellow Dog - when he was growing people ued to ask if he was crossed with a whippet!!!!!  He can drop weigh easily (lucky sod) but he's healthy and the vet is perfectly happy with him which is what counts, not the opinion of people walking their precious barrells of lard on legs grrr

I'm afraid its something you have to get used to if you have a slim, fit dog.:( My ex (who really should know better having lived with my dogs for several years) always comments that Evie is skinny. She is not, she is just right, but his current partner has a rather overweight staffy (altho they tell me its pure muscle, strange as he is never walked) and think he compares my dogs to him. It really bugs me when people boast that their shepherd "weighs 10 stone", it bloomin shouldn't!

All the advice I have ever heard is to keep dogs slightly hungry and nver overfeed. I absolutley hate to see fat dogs on the lead being walked up and down the street. Go and ruddy exercise your dopg properly!

I was concerned that one of the puppies was too skinny but I'm feeding the right amount: he just runs round and drops weight easily.

I have battled to get Brig to the right weight as he is a real good doer and I honestly reckon this raw diet is the best thing ever!

Ignore them or tell them you prefer your dog not to have screwed up joints!

OP don't worry about the comments I had some lovely person report me to the RSPCA because my girls where emaciated
I often get people making comments about the girls weight normally not to my face but in ear shot.
