Can anyone recommend a wool or sheepskin saddle cloth that is thin enough to fit underneath another saddle cloth? I want one to go underneath my trekking saddle cloth that has pockets to carry lunch, waterproofs etc. Unfortunately, the trekking saddle cloth does not deal very well with sweat, unlike wool or sheepskin ones! Thank you.

You can get a sheepskin half lined (or fully lined) pad with pockets from Mattes. To do a good job sheepskin needs to be fairly thick, medical grade is the recommended one, it's 30mm by definition, and will absorb way more sweat than a thinner pad. I would talk to your saddle fitter as if you get it wrong, especially on long rides, you can cause real issues.

Thank you. I wish I'd seen these before!

Thank you for all the replies. Courtlea numnahs have an underlay that will go under the numnah with pockets that I already have - good result! Thanks again.
