I've just had a phone call at work from the saddler I brought my Keiffer dressage saddle off about 18months ago. She reflocked it for me 6months ago and noticed a small amount of white powder, she phoned a Keiffer saddler on mainland who said nothing to worry about. He phoned her back this am to say this is to do with plastic tree starting disintergrate (not when being ridden in but when being reflocked)

She has just said she is going to give me a full refund for the saddle but I can still keep it. Couldn't happen at a better time as I was just about to start looking for a new one anyway (I need so knee blocks this one has none).

Sorry pointless but just goes to show there are some unbelievably decent people out there!

can saddles do that?? have just bought a second/third hand Kieffer with huge knee blocks but didn't know they fell apart!

This one has a plastic tree, according to the saddler it will be ok to be ridden in but when its reflocked and has unnatural pressure on the tree that I'm going to get problems. It is very very old though.

I'm def going to try and get another saddle from her but she only has one that may fit and I don't like the style of it, I'd really like a close contact dressage like the amerigo.
