Things that you didn't know how you lived without..

Cotton traders fur lined muckers... With waterproof zips!! Sooo warm!! Only problem is they make my socks wriggle off every few steps unless i wear knee highs!

H2Go wheelbarrow water carrier. GENIUS when the hose is frozen, just thread a tap fitting through the window and away u go!

Thats a really convoluted confusing title but this is my !
The things I can't live without. Not necessarily in order of importance.

1. I have arthritis in my feet so my Hotter sheepskin boots are essentials. I muck out in them and throw them in the WM at regular intervals.
2. The Hotter waterproofing spray that came with them.
3. A garden trolley on wheels from Aldi used as a water trough in Horse's loose box - cost £12.99 compared with the identical item on sale in the tack shop at £39.99!!!!
4. Large flat snow shovel which I use when mucking out instead of a normal muck shovel.
5. 100% pure wool vests with long sleeves bought from Amazon - until you wear one you can have no idea of how essential they are in this weather. I think this should be at number one.
6. The kind friend who feeds Horse when doing hers in the early morning, which means I don't have to go to the yard until late morning.

Ariat Grasmeres :)
Ear warmer headband thing - I get too hot in hats but this is perfect
Kerrits breeches - the stretchiest breeches ever and they do thermal and summer weight. A company that recognises riders are athletes. Oh and a 12 month guarantee on all clothing
Dyson DC44 cordless - does the house and car, lightweight and no bloody wire to trip over!

My horse :D

and my mountain horse overtrousers. I stay 100% dry even hacking in downpours and stayed very warm in the snow

This thread is going to cost me a fortune - reading all the replies I am making a list!!

The one thing I could'nt live without is VELCRO. Fab invention and used on so many products :D

Head torch (+ supply of batteries kept at yard)
Seat Saver (helps my dodgy pelvis)
Sprenger stirrups (helps my dodgy ankles)
Endless hot water on tap and a proper loo at the yard - could NEVER go back to having no hot water or loo.

Head torch... Water proof over-trousers... electric blanket!

All discovered in the past 2 years, could not imagine being without any of the above now!! :D

Tuffa Suffolks - warm feet, grippy soles, waterproof, ride in em, last forever! On my second pair after 4 years! Got to be good!
Thermocell rugs, warmer than a fleece, dry horse out like nothing else, cheaper and better than Thermatex, why WB discontinued them God knows!
Trickle Net - save hay, bed not trashed, horse happy - winner!

Brghthair - where do you get your Kerrits from? Can't get the ones I want in uk, and postage ridiculous amounts of £££ from US :(

Ear warmer headband thingies.

My big wheelbarrows (the great big two wheeled green jobbies).

Sealskinz gloves.

Army issue thermals (ohmygodsowarm).

Ariat Grasmeres for yard work and riding to save my nice boots from getting trashed.

Aigle wellies for wading through the mud.

Heat lamps in all my boxes.

Thermatex rugs.

Mark Todd fleece exercise rug - for clipped horses on cold mornings

Thermatex rug - for after exercise/going to shows/as an under-rug

Pikeur soft shell breeches - for me on cold mornings (had their first outing this morning and they are fab)

A farrier who you can rely on and who does a great job (worth their weight)

Effax leather balm (for lovely soft tack)

That's about it for now.

My hubby :o without him I could never have even dreamed of ever having my own horse

He found my girlie for me, convinced me I wasn't being mad wanting to buy her, teaches me on her (I'm a wimp) and looks after her for me along with his own two when I'm at work.

Manuka Honey.

I know, there are lots of things I can't live without but..... since discovering this miracle of natures little well dressed insect, I have not been the same!!!!!!!

:D

builders dumpy bags! 'borrowed' one off the OH to move some straw on a windy day and he's not getting it back!! brilliant for taking hay to the field in, i can fill it, loop one of the handles through the rest and sling it over my shoulder and off i go looking like a slightly odd father christmas :D

Spring is coming, so I won't say my merino wool longsleeved thermals, and I won't say the pocket handwarmers or Petzl headtorch or Showa Atlas gloves. I will say...

my Furminator :D

Electric at yard - after 16 years on a yard with none, it's bliss being able to put the lights on!
Headtorch - for the parts the electric doesn't reach...
Heated car seats - especially brilliant if you're wet!
Gorilla broom - love it
My cheap version of Muck boots - warm and waterproof if a little "iffy" on ice
