Things to see and do in Cromer?

This weekend! My mother for some unknown reason has decided that we need to take a 'family holiday'. Never mind that the last one we went on, I was 8 (am now 32..) and has decreed that the destination will be Cromer, this weekend.

So what is there to do for a sulky 32yo, a polite boyfriend and a delinquent 14 week old puppy to do? The beach is a given for pupster.... Anything else? A (very) brief Google suggested a nearby zoo. Which closed for winter, yesterday. :lol:
 
Walk on Holkham beach or at Wells (great fish & chips at Wells Harbour!). Boat trips to see the seals, not sure if any of the nearby stately homes are open but Holt is worth a visit. Then there is Blakeney and Chelsea by the Sea (sorry Burnham Market) and Letheringsett Water Mill. Have a great weekend!
 
Crab fishing off the pier, cliff walk, beach walk, take a toy boat to the boating lake, (was there a flint museum?) lie in bed listening to crappy music from nearby "club" wondering why on earth you agreed to go......
Sorry I ran out of ideas age 14 and managed to arrange a place on team for pony club areas that were always the same week the family went to Cromer!
 
Cromer is a beautiful beach. As is Wells. I expect you'll take some walks and eat some fish and chips. There isn't much else to do. Go crabbing off the pier (we caught most with raw bacon, they seem to like that)

ETS: visit most amazing second hand book shop in the world at Holt :)
 
Crabbing off the pier! We used to camp in Cromer when I was a teenager & crabbing is always fun. Also have a trip to sherringham which is a nice little town & has a good sweet shop.
 
The parking at Wells quay is expensive as is the fish and chips! There's a nice pub on the front at Cromer, Three Lifeboats? or something similar. Sheringham is nice to visit, briefly! Weybourne (where John Major has a house) railway station is original olde worlde as it was many years ago and worth a visit to buy a cuppa and drink tea out of any old mug on the platform and watch the train go by which you can catch from Holt to Cromer. The beach at Holkham is just the best to walk or ride on, Holkham Hall is more a collection of art than a house full of antiquities. The Host Arms at Burnham Market is frequented by well known people at times. Parking in Cromer can be painful if it's busy which it usually is at the weekends, we try to park up along the main road near the railway station rather than in a car park. Take tissues in your bag in case of no loo roll! It's always two coats colder up that way so be prepared. Have a nice day!
