I'm not quite sure how this happened because I'm sure Henry isn't this clever, but he does seem to have learned something rather unfortunate!
Basically at work he is not allowed to run under the fences into the paddocks to eat horse poop. There are nervy horses there who do not need their rehabilitation set back because some bloomin' great spaniel sacred the bejaysus out of them. There are non-nervy horses that will use dogs as an equine football given half a chance. And there is poop laced with Ivomectin, which is not good for dogs.
However since a lot of the fencing is post and rail and the bottom rail is higher than Henry, it's quite easy for him to dodge underneath
Everytime he does this I call him back, and when he comes back he gets a bit of biccy for being good and leaving the yummy poop to come back to me.
So what has he learned? That if he's a bit peckish and fancies a snack, he should casually saunter up to the fence, look at me, then bounce off into the field, wait ti be called, come back and sit and wait for his reward
This dog is too clever by half!
Come on, make me feel a bit less thick - who else is being trained up here?
