Things you see that really gets to u

Thanks Emma, you saved me explaining a bun!

If long non-hairnetted hair doesn't bother some of you I wonder if it will when you fall off and the horse stands on it, or perhaps it gets caught and wound round a piece of tack.

People that put their horses at risk of serious injury/death by deliberately making themselves invisible to motorists by riding a dark horse in dark clothing with dark hat against a dark background on the road with no viz gear, because they are either thick or some moron takes the piss at their yard or they think it's not fashionable.
 
I think all mine have been said too, particularly horses left tied up with the headcollar round its neck, drive me insane. Hate to see horses dragged in from the field after being out all day and night and tacked up and ridden out within 15 minutes, what are they thinking!

At competitions, people who put the horse back onto trailer/lorry then spend the next four hours socialising. I must be daft, I never leave mine, we even share the picnic, its his day out too!
 
I agree with every single thing that has been said to at least some extent.

Seen a horse get haylege round the bit until it nearly choked so can understand that, it’s horrible to see.

People ignoring injuries and carrying on riding anyway. People not getting the vet out when horse clearly needs it, ie stitches or something then moan when it gets so serious that horse has to be pts or costs hundreds in vet fees. Similarly those who never consider discomfort or pain for behavioural problems, no matter how sudden or drastic the change is...

Also people who jump their horse day after day hour after hour and yet it has no basic schooling or manners and therefore has to be beaten over the fence as it will only jump up and down on the spot in between otherwise.

People far too heavy for a particular horse/pony wondering why it is rearing when they try to get on it.

Also all the stupid kids I see kicking and yanking until horse rears, ‘cos that’s how you get their head in!’ Cue ruined pony, next pony comes and is again ruined in 5 mins.
