ok was very peeed off yesterday but now seeing the sunny side and just wondered if anybody else has been the recipient of odd comments from a judge. It started on saturday at a small local show that i decide i am never doing again the following year but end up doing it because it is local (5 mins hack away) (but dont get me started on that rant) plus its the only one i do now as bill is not exactly fond of poncing round in circles well scuffling is more his way of going without hounds in front of him and some sleet and snow to complete the picture. Billy is a 19 yr old solid staid dependably awkward black going somewhat grey dales gelding who if need be would happily carry an old ewe down a hillside in front of the saddle and as a younger animal did reasonably well in the odd mountain and moorland class. so i find my self white rope halter in hand in front of the judge in an in hand mountain and moorland class the first judges statement did not increase my confidence " He's a bit too hairy isn't he?"
it was alittle like being on mock the week .......
i have to admit i didnt really know what to say in retrospect i should have replied if you think he's hairy you should see my legs.....
