I was riding my horse out today and we came past a really 'scary' corn field. He put his head down and pulled at the reins a bit to stretch his neck out just as he yanked his head down a flock of birds appeared out of no where, so he had a panick attack and goes cantering off allover the place half way up the track.. serves him right!
Yesterday I (tried) to stear him around a brick, his head goes up he pulls on the bit and clack.. he tripped on the brick.. both of these things wouldn't have happened if he had listened at the right time
gahhh! He always finds away to annoy me.

What things do your horses do that you hate?
Am I the only one?

Well this morning I got to the yard to find a huge poo outside Lanky's stable door. Felling very tired, it took a while to solve the mystery, but it appears he had done a poo over the door and I ended up having to clean the door down!!! That annoyed me.

He pulls his head down to scratch - that annoys me.

George eats his neighbour's hay when he has a hay bar full of the stuff - that really annoys me.

Roll in the biggest mud patch he can find....he's grey

Lie in the stinkiest greenist bit of s**t he can in the stable....he's grey

Have a tantrum and stamp his feet in the wet sand school so he, my tack, my legs all end up orange....he's grey

after most of these on a freezing cold morning then cometimes he can breathe wrong and it would annoy me

But I do love him, bless him. And I love the fact he is grey and would rather be a hippo

Today we went up to Carn Brea, you can ride through a busy Ind est to get there quicker, he didnt bat an eye lid at all the new road markings/traffic lights/lorries, but up on the Carn, ROCKS and BOULDERS are very scary

He has seen them all hundreds of times.
But like I said to my mate I would rather he done the odd spook at rocks and blades of grass then vehicles

He's so good that we can stand on a verge in the middle of a by pass and he wont bat an eyelid

My horse ports/digs when she is being impatient. Usually it isnt too much of an issue, apart from when I want to muck out all 3 stables before I ride in a morning.

- Of course, that means turning the other 2 out, and leaving her in whilst I do my chores........but no, even with a haylage net and loads of hay she wants to be out, or be handled......so she digs up her bed, over and over and over again!!!

Grrrrrrrrrrr

My horse barges when I lead her, treads on my feet and jumps on top of me if she spooks at something. We've done hours and hours of groundwork and she really listens and co-operates - then I get her out of the field next day and get barged again. Infuriating to say the least!

following me around the field while I poo pick just waiting for the opportunity when my back is turned to knock over the barrow!!!!!!! or waits until I've finished, me closing the gate & yep he lifts his tail & dumps as if to say you've missed one!!!!!!!!!

PMSL rocking horse, Bear follows me round like a little lamb, but he's being a devil really. I have caught his poohs in the pooh pa scoop and shovel loads of times

Dozzie- nudging me. Opening her stable door and untying her rope. Also spooking at clumps of grass.

Crispin- I swear he deliberately steps on my feet! But then he looks at me with his big eyes and pretty face.........

Tricks- - nothing really annoys me! He rubs himself on me which is a bit uncomfortable and can be difficult to lead if he wants to get somewhere but I cant think of anything annoying about him! Actually, just thought of something...the grass is always greener for him and he breaks the post and rail regularly. That is very annoying!

Sorbs- nothing annoys me. She is a sweetie! She would be terrified if I got annoyed with her! LOL!

Ollie unties his lead rope then stands on it and spooks himself
plays with the zips on my coat and pull the tags of so I cant do them up
pulls the toggle on the side of jacket because its elastic it pings back and bruises my legs
he ll play with anything especially if its mine

Humphs insists he knows best when descending the really chalky, slippery glass-like slope from the downs, pulls and rushes and trips over. EVERY time. I'll pick the route, he'll disagree, he'll toss his head and fall over his own feet.

Also he does 21 elephant sized heaps of poo between 4pm and 0730am. That really winds me up, I feel my arms will dislocate when pushing the barrow. Everyone elses horse does 10. But 21?!?! That is just inconsiderate.

he stops constantly when i am leading him and when i go to try and make him move, he barges fowrd taking me with him!! oh and when i pick out his feet he chews my hair, nice!!

My girl is a gannet will put anything into her mouth? likes to nudge you with her nose whilst i'm untying haynets to fill them again, this only serves to make me spend longer than necessary untying them!
She is very noisy, will whinny at me for the slightest thing, sometimes its cute other times shes just too vocal over the strangest thing like lunging, when we finish and she stands, i can walk towards her and she whinnys i.e Thank god thats over, can we eat now?
She undoes her bolt on the door time and time again, i have now resorted to putting a leadrope on the latch.
When she spooks she jumps on me, like i can carry a 16.1 horse to the field!
She is very dirty in the stable, takes ages to muck out and it still never looks like i have mucked out! And lastly if i am mucking out and she is in the stable she will back up to the wheel barrow or brush and knock them over, and look round like she never knew it was there....and deep breath!!!!

muppet horse.

erm one horse kicks the door which drives me mental
shes lots better as i wont give her any feed until shes quiet.
my 2yo waves her foot when shes eating and sometimes when shes out on new grass which is annoying.
the 18yo goes ballistic when the 2yo goes out or if shes left on her own.

George getting anxious about silly little things like a bird in a tree, or a man putting logs in a van, and then standing like a star when we are overtaken by a combine harvester - bless the dear boy!
