What would u like to see at a trade stand or would you buy things you forgotten
I've been asked to have a stand at my local horse show
And wondering what things I should cover , I was thinking the main things
Plait bands , chalk etc or should I Inc a few rugs etc too

I'm always forgetting things when I go to shows - usually my whip, gloves or hairnet. I forgot my grooming kit once too :o so a few individual brushes, mane and tail detangler, hoofpicks etc might sell well if anyone else out there is as scatty as me!

headcollars and ropes in case of emergency!
little things usually = studs, hairnets, brushes, ties, stocks, gloves, whips....
pony treats seems to sell well - people keeping horses sweet i should imagine! :P

For the real panic situations - I have seen Syringes of that 'magic' stuff before!
lunge lines
Horse boots
reins
saddle cloths

Rugs can be quite handy to try on whilst the horse is there I suppose! :D
sweat rugs, fleeces ect..
Travel boots? Bandages and gamgee?
WD40 and Duct tape - Solves everything!

Oh - ELECTRICAL TAPE!!! :D

As said above, Whips, Spurs, boots, maybe some bridle spair parts, these things are always being lost or broken between my lot when we go to shows, buckets?? i seem to recall seeing someone trying to get there horse to drink out a dog bowl at a show a few years ago! oh and first aid stuff is a good idea too.

Yes shampoo, sponges, hoofpick, gloves etc BUT do make sure you are open BEFORE the show starts !! nothing more annoying that forgetting something and the stand doesnt open until 5 mins before first class goes in.

I've turned up without my hat once, and had to buy another. A friend had to buy a bridle once! Basically anything that you or the horse wears at a show..
Treats etc. The hoofoil one is something that everyone forgets - last time we did a rc show, I was the only one with it, so half the club borrowed mine!

I also think that after you've done the event/show is one of the only times I get to browse at a stand, so its nice to see different things...

At shows this year I've been asked if we have the following spare as they've been forgotten (but no tack shop):
girth
hair net
black hat cover
gloves
reins
lunge line

I've bought
treats
reins
bridle
horsey kids pyjamas
tack cleaner
gloves

Hope that's helpful
