Just reminded myself why jumping in a hat with a fixed peak is not the best idea!!!
Was out for a hack on the estate today and came across their new hunt jumps, jumped it from the uphill side forgetting the landing would be 6 inches or so lower than the take off!! As he landed I went down hard and smacked the peak of my hat off the back of my left hand ( dont ask how lol) and somehow managed to stay on but I hit my head so hard the peak is bent!!!
So pleased with my boy though, he was so honest bless him, jumping a 2 ft 9 wall without working up to it is quite a big achievement for him as he's still quite green!!
Lesson learnt though!
