Ive started coming alot on here since being bored at work so i may aswell introduce myself!

Anyway, im 18 years old and last March i bought my first horse Millymoo She is a full bred trotter (i think!) and she is 20 years old. She wasnt in a good home when i first saw her and i noticed some things just wasn't right. She was stood at the back of her stable with her head in the corner and noticed a huge scar on her backend with about 110 stitches! She wouldnt let you touch her face or anything and i honestly did feel sorry for her. Anyway in the end i bought her and she is the best horse you could possibly ask for! Her temperment is spot on and she has changed so much. She hangs her head out of the stable (she wouldnt for afew months when we first got her) lets you touch her face, wouldnt make any noise what so ever. And now she doesn't bloody shut up! If i talk to her she whinnies and whinnies and whinnies! Its like she talks back! I have seen such a change in her and it is honestly the best feeling ever Anyway here she is!

Would be nice what you think what breed Duke is :)

Thank you :) i know it makes me happy knowing she is so happy, she has changed so much. I forgot to add the bit about Duke, he was very very very skinny when we got him, unhandled etc. at 4  but hes coming along nicely too, he can be abit bolshy but his manners are coming along :)

Aww thank you :) yeah ive noticed a big change in them both, when i first got Milly she was stabled 24/7 and when we turned her out for the first time in a huge field she panicked :( so i walked with her for a while then she galloped off bucking whinnying haha it was lovely to see :) Well Milly was sold to me as a "happy hacker" but she is abit frightened of cars, motorbikes and our livery yard is on a busy road, but my boyfriend is doing his trailer test soon then we can take her out to quiet places because she will really enjoy it! With Duke at the moment we have just broken him in so we are schooling and doing the basics, but i think i might show him in the future :) im just interested in enjoying my horses and hacking!

In summer she goes really shiny and dapple like! but now shes a really dark bay fluffy monster! :D

I've just bought a new one (2 weeks ago) and in a similar situation - although not in as bad condition as yours were but he needs sorting out. Can't wait to see what he looks like next Summer when I've got him in better condition and the winter fuzz has gone :)

What a lovely story. She is obviously telling you how much she appreciates you. Mares are just the best. I hope you are able to keep her for a long long time.

Ooh what beautiful colouring and such a shiny coat, very pretty mare and a handsome gelding. I want you to come and look after me!!!!!:D

Both horses are lovely and look so healthy now. That first pic of you little mare she looks fantastc.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your 2 lovely horses in the future, they really have fallen on their feet with you!
