Excellent news OP. I'd just keep quiet, it's not worth the hassle.

It depends if you think she might nick it from others instead. I'd certainly be giving my YO a heads up to keep an eye.
I'm not sure because this is my first winter at the yard and I'm don't know if she was just taking the pee. She has been there ages and is in the YOs back pocket so I'm worried if I mention something it will be taken the wrong way.![]()
Unsubstantiated accusations are dangerous things.
I suspect that now your bale is out of reach, someone else will be on the receiving end, this may well brings things out in the open.
I feel for you OP. I would have a little word with YO as she might be suffering the same problem with other feed. I know that my YO would be much happier knowing there might be someone who is a little light fingered. It it so unfair to have someone helping them sleves to something that is not theres.
I suffered with a light fingered hard foor thief a few years ago. I put some large rat traps in the feed bin. Within a few days I had a comment from someone asking why I had rat traps in my feed bin. I asked and just how do you know that? She went bright red and tried to get herself out of the hole she had just opened. I quietly pointed out as it was my feed bin the only person going note 'it was me or OH. After this I got a lockable chest feed bin. I let the YO know she kept and eye open.
Yes I don't think I'll mention it. And I would NEVER say who I thought it was because obviously I have no proof! I'm just happy we're no longer going through a 36 quid bale of haylage every 6 days![]()
