He has selflessly arranged a golfing trip for this Friday until Sunday, thus guaranteeing torrential rain all weekend, (especially in Cambridgeshire) so a huge "Thank You" to "ponydad" for his dedication to the cause of grass growing and ground-softening :)

O good. I'm in Cambridge and we could REALLY do with some rain.

The met office don't know it's coming yet (I checked their forecast this avo) so you might want to let them know too. Just so they don't look silly :)

My OH is away is this weekend on some sort of boxing/cage fighting do...never mind the rain/grass - I'm just grateful for the peace and quiet.

Of course I pretend to seem gutted by the short notice...

Can you give him a massive hug from me please? If it doesn't rain very soon, I'll be feeding 2 horses 2 feeds a day and hay all summer and be bankrupt!

Hmmmmm, only problem is he announced on Sunday that he would need my Isuzu Trooper to transport him and his mates, leaving us without a tow car so we can't go anywhere with new horse. So - things to do in the East Midlands this weekend - suggestions anyone?
