Was looking through some old photo's and came across this one.....

Its just a good job the fence wasn't too big!!

This photo was taken about 6yrs ago when my horse seemed to genuinely believe he was Pegasus! Looking at this pic now I can't believe we made it. To be fair to him he has not fallen at a fence and is actually very careful (honest

).
I am extremely relieved to report that we have not gone one of these strides for a very long time now (which is good for me as I don't think my heart could have coped). As a young horse however he was far too cocky - I remember on a a lot of occasions thinking we had one more stride to go (even if it was just a short one) when he just used to take off. Nutter!

whats funny is that if the fence was actually that wide you would never have attempted to jump it in a month of sundays!

Haha I know yeh - definately not. I'm thinking that maybe he thought that where the grass was cut was his take off line

. I also think that I should take his picture to events with me and whenever I look at a fence and think its wide, I should just have a look at this picture
