the owner said they have been wormed but threw the wormer up, so in my eyes thay havent been wormed , am i right? Should i be worried? they are 6 weeks old...
They should have been wormed first at 2 weeks, and by 6 weeks should have been wormed at least twice probably 3 times. I would be slightly concerned as to why they threw the wormer up. Did the breeder use a wormer suitable for puppies? I would ask a few more questions here.
im not 100% but within a few hours i think.. puppies have had bottle milk in addition to mothers milk as they are big puppies, when we went to see them they were being fed dry food (been on that about a week) still with mum , bright and playful apart from one that is fairly quiet, the one we have choosen if we have him is the biggest of them! Seen Mum and Dad and both very friendly and both play with puppies... just the worming that is concerning me slightly... can alot of damage be done by worms so early on?
My vet says puppies are sick after worming if they have a heavy worm burden. Although my puppy did this the first time I Panacur'ed him, even though his breeder had wormed him on a regular schedule (I had a written record showing this from her vet as well). I imagine as long as everything else checks out - kc registration, etc etc, then your puppy will probably be fine!
