Thinking of buying friend's trailer, how much should I offer?

It's a Sinclair which she's had from new. It has not been used for years and as it's been standing it has become faded on one side and has a rotten foor, but as it has had such little use it is mint inside - much tidier than mine which is high mileage but perfectly servicable - obviously!

So, it needs a new floor and possibly new tyres and electrics, so how much should I offer?

Also, I will obviously want to sell mine if I get this other one sorted, so how much should I ask for that? It's an older Sinclair (not really old, but older than my friends), been well looked after, serviced etc and the hitch and floor (granualistic) have been replaced at some point. It's the big heavy one that will carry three or a horse and carriage. Would Ebay be the best place to sell it? Thoughts please!
 
I think you need to think about what it will cost to get it road safe. I would say it could easily cost £1200 to get a floor, new tyres, brakes and wiring. So decide if you want to spend that much before thinking of how much to give your friend. I would say a trailer needing that much work was only worth about £500. Are the partitions/ramps/doors OK ?
 
If I was you I wouldn't buy it, your trailer sounds in a better shape then hers even though it is older. You may be spending a tonne of money to fix it up.

But if you really do want to sell yours eBay is brilliant. We put ours on and it sold within a day for the buy it now price :)
