Don't want to break the bank, as it's only a couple of local shows... I have a Cob x Shire 15hh, thinking maybe equitation, and a couple of in hand classes..
Do I really need a jacket? I have joddies and boots (black pair and brown)..

Need some suggestions :)

You would need a jacket for ridden classes but may get away with a waistcoat for in hand classes

By the time you've bought a waistcoat you may aswell buy a jacket.

If you are just doing in hand then you can wear pretty much anything as long as it's smart - so a pair of smart trousers and a shirt with tie would be fine. Make sure you put your hat on too.

It's only the last few months i've felt ready to take him, the last time I took him to one, he hated the bin bags attached to the rope fences (tried to run away from them), he was a youngster at the time, and found it a real eye opener.
I'm hoping to start doing some dressage, as soon as my confidence improves, as atm, I just want to prove to myself I can get him to do it without me messing up.

What's better, a stock or a tie?
