Hi everyone, im new here and just wanted some advice.
I bought my first horse 3 years ago and hes been brilliant. We've done everything; dressage, fun rides, SJ etc.. But im starting to feel like i want him to do more than hes capable of. Hes a 15hh cob type and will jump a 2'6 course but struggles with the distances as hes got a short pony stride. I want to do more competing and starting to feel like i want something more forward going and something that can jump bigger. I feel awful though, as i love my horse hes great in every way but just not capable of taking me to the next level. I kinda think i may regret selling him as hes a real good all rounder, typical first horse. But i dont know
I can only just afford one so theres no chance I can keep 2, and i couldnt put him on loan because I would need the money from selling him to buy another.
What do you think I should do? If i was to sell him it wouldnt be till next spring. Just sometimes im desperate to get on something bigger and more responsive! Or is it a silly reason to sell a good horse?
Opinions please!
