Thinline muzzles - how long do they last?

I love my Thinline muzzle. My pony hates anything near his nose so I never thought he'd accept a muzzle. He's very happy to wear this and will move his head so it can be put on. To me it's yet another consumable that I buy to keep him healthy and happy - he can be out with his friends for longer with this on.

This is what I thought when I bought it, but it works out at about £20 a month if I need to replace it after a few months use, which is just too much for me and not sustainable in terms of waste. If it lasted longer then I'd feel ok to replace it

They are very expensive. I'm hoping as they get more used then they might fall in price. My pony's been wearing his on and off for about six months. If it does a year then I'll be happy. It does seem a bit pot luck how long they last.
