For some reason, third party liability cover has been taken off my insurance renewal quote:rolleyes: I need this cover to be able to take Henry to work, so need to sort this out before my cover expires. Silly Tesco!

Does anyone happen to know which policies include this cover? Go Compare does not show this info. I have arranged for NFU to call me for a quote tomorrow, do they include this? Are they generally good at paying out etc?

:)

I'm just in the process of arranging the renewal for mine and I know that both Direct Line and Petplan include public liability. :)

Think I'll be sticking with Direct Line at £9 or £12 (depending on level of cover) per month - Tesco, Sainsburys, Petplan and NFU each quoted me roundabout £24 a month for equivalent cover.

Thank you for the replies guys:)

I do also want vets cover, it's just that it needs to include 3rd party. Direct Line have come out best so far, although they say they won't cover gundogs... but I could top it up if necessary with another policy and it would still work out at less than my renewal quote! It's hardly as though we are working four times a week anyway, he has been out twice this season so he is not exactly a professional;)

Dogs Trust membership gives third party cover for up to ten dogs.

Might be worth checking out for £20 per year.

When I wanted to cover Inca to go to work ALL the major companys told me that if I was been paid she would not be insured. however if I went and did exactally the same work but as a volenteer she would be insured. Go figure
The only company I could find to insure her was helpucover.com
I ended up sending an email to everycompany I could find asking if they would cover her and all except helpucover said no
