I have a new tiny side job! I am self employed but do various things. Mostly office work from home but a bit of horses mingled in, these days not set days on certain yards but cover for a few local places.
Some people very close were advertising for someone to let their dogs out and play with them twice a week and I figured why not!
It’s literally 5 minutes walk down the road from home and at an easy time of day for me.
Went to chat and meet the lovely dogs. Easy, they then mentioned that they also foster rescues until home checks are completed, so sometimes I’ll be doing them too. I love this idea, will probably spend way too long there making friends and trying to gain their trust.
I’m doing extra this week as they have two fosters and I’ve just been sent photos

This could potentially go so wrong for me

I’m only joking really as the gang I have keeps me very busy anyway but…

I'm envious of your friends in finding someone like you so close by. I had a brilliant school boy living opposite, with the backup of his very responsible dad who would pop in twice a day on the occasions when life calls us away from home. Unfortunately for me, he's now 18 and has a job working long hours.

It was just by chance really. I saw their advert on a local FB page.
Apparently they have struggled a bit since their old person moved away.

Can we put money on it ? Friends foster for Dogs Trust. So far they have kept a Bernese mountain dog and a GSD

A friend fostered for a breed rescue and ended up failed foster pretty much every time, it’s a dangerous business!
