This fills my with horror.....

Umm looks nice doesn't it, ESP since the saddle obs fits every single horse, the bit suits every mouth and the hat will save will save your life

I think not, however hopefully the £65 pound delivery will put people off.

I do fear for kids non horsey parents though. Sometimes they just dont have any idea. (not all, just some)

OMG even for people on a budget that is scary and one can only feel sorry for the pony that ends up with that saddle and the rider who will end up taking a tumble once something snaps.

There is no excuse to put such crap on a horse, you can buy English made decent enough stuff that's used on ebay for very little, like thorowgood older models.

I can remember reading somewhere that someone had taken one of these cheap imported saddles apart and found them stuffed with all sorts of rubbish, including tacks and nails. Imagine the damage that they could do to some poor horse's back, it is an accident waiting to happen.

Trading standards can step in with toys that aren't up to standard, you would have thought that tack could be covered from a safety point of view too.

It looks like the bit is upside down too:rolleyes:

They have, and the saddles are shocking inside.
You are right about the bit too lol, that was the first thing that caught my eye! Horrible, on so many levels!
If it seems too good to be true...

I've found ladies tights and neswpapers in them!
The loose tacks in them have usually fallen out of the tree, which is quite often an old packing crate cut up and made into a tree.

If I had a spare £165 id order it just to see it with my own eyes... I cant bear the thought of any poor ponies having to suffer it. Is there not any standard tack has to meet? I dread to think...

No, unfortunately not. For years I have been campaigning with trading standards etc to have manufacturers and importers state where the tack is made so people can make up their own minds with informed choices as to whether they wish to purchase it or not.
As it stands, a foreign manufacturer can use English leather imported from this country and with their manufacturing techinques and lorinery make the up the tack, ship it back to England , the wholesalers slap a "England" tag on it and it is sold in your local tack shop.

Aside for from the fact it is probably badly made etc, spare a thought for the people who made it.
Pakistan is able to make goods so cheap as many of the people making stuff for western markets are slaves. It's called debt bondage, basically if tour father was in debt he would have to work to pay it off, in a situation similar to a prison. He would be charged for food and rent as he works meaning that he gets in more and more debt, which then his family then inherits and so on.
Often the only way out of debt bondage is to the Taliban who will kill the 'slave' owners to free the slaves, if they agree to fight for the Taliban.

So, I wouldn't buy it for the fact in was probably made by a child who is probably a slave.

Oh wow, that's horrific! That's why I always stick with names I trust! Do you have a link to the pictures of the dissected saddle... it would be really interested to see :)
