Robin has been here nearly a month now in a paddock and shelter next to B. We've walked them out together every weekend and yesterday we let them go together in a different paddock to see how they would get on. I really hate introducing ponies I find it really stressful and B can be vile especially at feed times. But, they had a charge around, a buck and a fart and put their heads down to eat. Robin is now like Bs little shadow and even breakfast didn't create more than a grumpy face so fingers crossed we've done it.

Photos of yesterday and then this morning.

Hate the intro part too! Always try and make sure it’s as stress free as possible but horses don’t got to plan do they!

Love it once they settle down and are best buddies :)

Those photos just show that your plan for a gradual introduction was very well thought out. Lovely photos, by the way.

Thank you PaS it's one of my least favourite parts of getting new ponies. I lost my old lad years ago to a kick in the field so it doubly scares me now. I spent about an hour holding my breathe LOL

I do like Robin:)

His breeding is amazing - I really can't believe we got him for the price we did. His sire is Donys Highwayman. I'm really excited to get him out and about to some youngstock shows in the spring.

Little Robin update.

He stands like a pro with a haynet - as you can see its all very boring! Excuse the over sized headcollar it was new so he had to wear it! He is happy to be groomed and have his feet picked out.

He doesn't stop eating - ever! He's 11.1hh (approx). I thought he was growing quite level, but looking at the photo of him tied up he looks a little bum high there. He's often the opposite end of the field to B and isnt fussed if he's in the field alone for a short while. He's got such a swagger when he walks. I'm so hoping I can get him out to some shows this year.
