This has to take the prize for the most stupid cross so far...

Smooth coat chows can have quite short coats like this especially if young. They are also quite wrinkly often with similar skin issues to other wrinkly dogs.

Poor Eddie.

I was chatting to a family who told me they had just got a new puppy. A staffy x rotweiller. They thought it would be nice for the grandkids to play with.
I had one of those (picked up as a stray). He was brilliant.

Eddie looks more French bulldog to me - think it's the short face and rounded ears.

It's almost like there's a competition going for the title of "Biggest Dog-shaped Money Pit".

Freakish-looking does seem to be a thing these days. With humans too.

At risk of getting my head bitten off. Wouldn’t it be better to pts some of these dogs with already present or clearly going to happen health issues and concentrate on the rehoming of the many many healthy dogs that are in kennels?
The future is uncertain even when homed with references or home checks .

Totally agree with you. These big dogs that are dubious crosses and needing specialist care should not be rehomed. Just asking for trouble and a dog like this makes for a very restricted lifestyle for the owner. A good friend of mine who was experienced with collies both sheep work and agility took on a lovely collie dog who had been kept tied up in a trailer as the farmer couldn't cope with him. She struggled with attempting to rehab him for several years before deciding that enough was enough and that she couldn't restrict her life any longer and had him pts. He was just a farm collie not one of these mad crosses that have additional problems with conflicting instincts from their respective crosses. Malinois x Caucasion Shepherd is a recipe for disaster. Either breed on its own needs a specialist handler.

No head biting here.

Don't say it on Facebook though 😅🤣

I once saw a litter of Saluki x Malinois puppies advertised - that's a scary cross

A wonderful cross if you live in the desert and want to add some power and a different sort of brain into the mix. That sort of dog would hunt all day and guard all night and still need a job to do. The thought of that sort of cross in a pet home is terrifying!
