THis horse broke his neck, headcam of him doing intermediate xc

I watched this last night and found it very emotional .
I had some of the best times of my life looking between some bay ears.
I was always getting into trouble for talking to my horse XC too .
Thank you OP for posting even though it was very bittersweet .

........ Go Pirate!!!!!! :) :) :)

Kelsey

I'll admit that my heart was in my mouth watching your vid. What a lovely boy, and best of all, how he enjoyed himself. I don't ride to any standard, and have never faced such 'corners' or such narrow jumps, as you did. Complete trust and confidence!!

Would others laugh at you? I very much doubt it. That was a first class display, and some achievement, considering his history .

Also, perhaps the best headcam film that I've ever seen!

Another huge 'Well Done'.

Alec.

Loved that footage and shared it with others yesterday evening. Welcome, Kelsey! :)

Had tears in my eyes at the start from the speed and by the end from your evident delight in that lovely horse.

Congratulations for such a comeback and may you both have many more happy rounds ...

Go, Pirate! :D

What an amazing video and a lovely bit of commentary , the bit where she says trust mummy made me well up..... Only for the reason these beasts are capable of killing us in a second but they trust us with their lives :) pirate and Kelsey what an inspiration

Thank y'all so much. :) Here's a clip of him jumping the third fence, if you want to see it from the jump judge's perspective! We were still a bit fast, but I had a bit more control than I had at the previous fence. He's quite a game horse, isn't he?! ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tVvOUCQBf3c&feature=youtu.be

He certainly is game! Made that fence look effortless :smile3: so lovely to see such a partnership and that Pirate has bounced back after such a tricky injury, Will defo be following you on Facebook!

Loved the commentary...very calm I thought considering the speed you were both going :)
My 15 year old son is starting to consider a more competitive style of riding and though i am happy to encourage him in whatever he wants to do eventing was probably the one I would be less keen on! Just showed him this thinking it might put him off as it scared the beegees out of me and it has backed fire! The first thing he said was 'that looks proper' which I think is teenage for good...he is now galloping around the field with my TB :(

Made me cry! What a wonderful partnership they have which I can only hope to have with my own horse in the future!
