do we think it will stop when appleby is over..? seems to be a big boost just random thought tell me to shut up if im babbling lol!

I think it is a combination of events, yes horses have been stolen, but some that have been reported stolen have simply strayed, and we don't get the update when they are found, and yes it seems there are some men going about asking about horses, but hysteria can reach the stage where every car parked by a field must be them.

I think will calm down in time, and when enquiries into these males are completed

How many are definitely stolen. Our yo phoned the police there are 2 from our area with crime numbers and a carriage was stolen from friends yard 40 mins away.We are in Gt Yarmouth area.Unfortunately no clues only vague siteing of men who took horses. The car and red 4x4 dont seem to be linked to these missing horses.

LOL, It is easy to see how this one got out of hand. It says alot about this countries negative attitude to Eastern Europeans.

Why the hell would Eastern Europeans go to the trouble of stealing horses in the UK when fantastic horses can be bought and imported from the former Communist states for PEANUTS. Far more profit in that.... and far less hassle.

The whole thing is ludicrous. If they have been all over the country in a 4x4 the juice they will have burned will be enough to buy a whole load of horses.

Horses and other stock are stolen every day. The people who do it are organised and professional. They are not seen before hand... they would be no good at their job if they were. Very few horses are stolen to order. Most are stolen for meat and are out of the country in a couple of days.
