Oh dear! Is it wrong that I laughed? :D But you have my sympathies, I have two natives with long flowing locks and these burrs are a nightmare!

Its a bit of a shock to me.
Hes my new addition (bought start of the month) And my older horse has pulled mane (well it was but I dont keep on top of it haha), and stays relatively clean :D Lol

Oh poor you!
The markings around his eye are remarkably similar to my coblets... I would post a pic but I'm on my phone and I can't remember how, OH did show me once ....

Mine is a mud monster but mud and this lot...............just wondering how long it took you to get these out..hoof pick works well pulling and untangling...............my dog gets these but horse!! tail!!! poor you. He looks quite pleased with himself though?

Haha you have my sympathies, used to happen all the time to my old coblet - I swear he used to deliberatley roll/walk into them! So I took all the hair off.... much easier hehe :p

Aw feathered, your horses markings are similar :D :D :D He looks lovely!

Indie, it took me nearly an hour! My dogs always do it too, but not as bad as the horse haha

Thanks Slinky ;) hahah

One thing I wont be doing, taking the hair off! Lol I like my cobs hairy :D

Sympathies from me too. My mare managed to get so many burrs in her tail this year that it literally turned into one solid, prickly slab. Her tail is really brittle, too, so I spent hours and half a bottle of mane and tail detangler trying to get them out with minimum hair damage and got really itchy, painful fingers for my trouble.

The other day H looked like he had a pineapple on top of his head! :D

It was a big clump of burrs which had formed this huge great thing out of his forelock - looked hysterical! But it took AGES to undo it!

Fox hunter I've had him 3 weeks, so that wasn't at the top of my list of things to do lol. Plus last night was his first night in New field so i wasn't expecting that :)

My Sec D thinks you are trying to kill him when you try and take them out.:(:(
And yes spring we sprayed them, but oh missed a couple and they were cut down, but they do regrow again.

I read on another forum that baby oil is the way forward. Loads of it slathered in the mane and tail and the little bu**ers won't stick. OTOH neither will the saddle or much else lol..
