This is what me and Abe are aiming for.
He will get into the water now and will swim after the toy.
Next is working on jumping in!

This was our local club doing a display in Seattle at the weekend.

I feels like i have to find something new every week to keep him busy!

We are not going to be attending the group i sent you the link of just yet. Its just to far to travel 2-3 times a week in my current gas guzzling truck.

But we are herding and now dock diving!

Ooooh Henry and I were going to have a go at that, but the Dock Dogs people got stuck in the volcano fiasco and couldn't make it to the show:( Next year!:D

Ha ha, be careful what you wish for .

My OH was determined that our Pointer's would swim and I hooked up with a Spangle walker so she could 'teach' ours to swim.

Now, at the first sight of water they are in and the water seems to send them deaf as they will only come out when they are good and ready. They have been known to be in the pond just swimming around for over an hour :D. My OH has even resorted to going in and dragging them out .... he was shocked when the water came up to his neck :D:D.

Don't preach to me about recall, we took them to a gun dog trainer who had us recalling them off a scent about half a mile away ...... it just completely goes to pot when water is involved.

I love that there's a measurement on the side. :D

Quirky, mine was the same, never saw water before she came to us and walked around puddles in case her feet got wet. Now I can't keep the bugger out of it - the muddier, smellier and mingy-er the water, the better. She currently has a thing for buggering off and climbing into water troughs, the farmer will have her hide if he catches her!

they have to have the measurement its a competition! :D They have laser measurement too.

Longest jump of the day was 26 feet.

There are 2 or 3 husky type dogs in the club!

I would love to do that with mine! Def get pics of Abe when you go.

What type of dog jumped the 26ft can you remember? Also, the dog in the 1st pic is in fantastic condition - super lean! :)
