I'm looking for advice/recommendations on solo riding holidays. It would ideally be this month as I've got some holiday time booked out. I'm thinking perhaps Eastern Europe or Spain/Portugal would be good options. Any thoughts? One extremely important caveat is there would have to be high standards of horse welfare. I wouldn't want to be contributing to riding camps which don't actually have their horses best interests at heart!

I used to use the tour operator 'In the Saddle' quite a bit and they were very good at only using local operators who looked after their horses well. Might be worth seeing if they've got spaces on any of their trips.
