as above plus a million lotions & potions as i have an accident prone horse. I also keep levaband bandaging to pad out under vetwrap. And aloe vera gel!

Ohh yes and aloe vera and the cooling ice bandage thingies! As well as loads of creams, fungatrol for mud fever (not had this year yet thank goodness) etc

And purple spray is iodine which is an antiseptic i think, or antibacterial, my vet loves it (older experienced vet!). I think its great stuff as well

from a website:

Purple spray is...
'A quiet pump spray for minor cuts and grazes containing Methyl Violet, Aloe Vera and Isopropanol.'

another product description:
'A skin disinfectant effective against a wide range of gram positive and gram negative bacteria.'

I think the proper name for purple spray is Teramycin (sp??) - a general purpose antiseptic used for minor cuts and grazes, good if your horse is a bit 'thrushy' in the winter - spray it on their hooves. But, avoid like the plague if you have a grey :-)
